Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, which are also called Part C plans, are health plans that private companies offer that cover Medicare Parts A and B. MA plans are an option to Original Medicare, and Part D drug coverage is often part of them. On top of that, they might give wellness programs and other services like vision, hearing, and dental care. There may be lower out-of-pocket costs with MA plans than with Original Medicare, and you may not have to pay as much each year. Most of the time, though, you'll have to use doctors who are in the plan's network.
